There’s plenty to see in Cerulean City, and the girl with pink hair next to the Pokemon Center will give you an Evolite. Also, unlike the originals, Gary isn’t waiting for you outside, so you can calmly walk to Cerulean City. The exit is a little tricky to see, but you’re looking for a hole in the west wall (pictured above). You’ll be over-leveled for this area if you’ve fought every Trainer. If you’re still traumatized by the original Red/Blue Mt Moon, you can relax, as the Fire Ash version is very tame. The shopkeeper just next to the entrance sells Repels if you want them. There’s not much to do here (although there is a Blimp Service for later), so head north through Viridian Forest, into Pewter City and challenge the Gym.
